We've made it really easy for you to get to the Grimsby Institute. We are one of the few colleges in the UK to run it's own fleet of coaches and if you live in one of the following areas then you'll be able to travel for FREE* to and from the Institute The free bus service visits the following areas:
Calling at: Burwell, Ulceby Cross, Alford, Bilsby, Mumby, Huttoft, Sutton on Sea, Theddlethorpe, Theddlethorpe St. Helens
To reserve your place on the bus or for more information please contact the information centre on: 0800 315002 If you cannot catch one of our own buses don't worry, we can still help you to get to the Institute through our Transport Bursary Scheme.
If you are 16-18 years old, you could save hundreds with the scheme, that's money that you could use for books or even your social life! To apply for the Bursary Scheme, please call 0800 315002 or email Learner Services at firstname.lastname@example.org. They will provide you with all the information you need and explain how you apply.
If you can't catch one of our coaches and you live outside the Lincolnshire County Council Travel Pass catchment area, you
may still be entitled to financial support for travel through the Institute's Bursary Scheme. If you're eligible for the Bursary and live more than 1½ miles away we will use part of your Bursary allocation to pay for transport on a local bus service. North Yorkshire County Council organise transport for full-time learners under 19 living in North Yorkshire to travel to and from college if they live three or more miles away. Learners must apply to North Yorkshire County Council for a bus pass. There is a charge for this service.
